Setting ourselves targets

But calculating our footprint is just the start of our journey. To make real progress, we need to put in place plans to reduce those emissions. And not only our own emissions (often referred to as “Scope 1 & 2” emissions), such as switching all our offices to renewable energy and changing our company cars to hybrids, but also work with our partners through our supply chain to drive change with our indirect emissions (known as our “Scope 3” emissions).

Although the way we work with our outsourcing partners allows us to minimise our own emissions, we need to take responsibility for all the emissions related to our mixers, and therefore moving forward we are targeting a year-on-year reduction in all our emissions for every litre we produce.  We can’t do this alone and we are working ever closer with our partners to together identify and deliver emissions reduction projects that will make a meaningful difference.

By working together we have already been able to implement a reduction in certain areas, such as moving production of our mixers closer to our end markets, but we are early on in this journey and there is so much more we can do.

This includes examining the potential of increasing the amount of renewable energy used in the manufacturing and bottling of our mixers, increasing the recycled content within our packaging and reducing the miles our mixers travel globally.
