The fight against malaria is a cause we're particularly passionate about as our tonic water's primary ingredient is quinine, which comes from the cinchona tree, or 'fever-tree' as it is colloquially known. Quinine has important anti-malarial qualities, used for centuries to ward off the disease. Since 2013, we've been working to put the power to fight malaria back into tonic water, working with Malaria No More UK to help end this preventable and treatable disease.

World Malaria Day takes place on 25th April each year and is an internationally recognized day, highlighting the global efforts to control malaria and celebrating the gains that have been made. Since 2000, the world has made historic progress against malaria, saving millions of lives. However, the battle is far from over and COVID-19 has made the fight harder than ever – but together, we can end this.

WORLD MALARIA DAY VIRTUAL MASTERCLASS

We're hosting a virtual masterclass ahead of World Malaria Day to raise awareness of this deadly and often overlooked disease. For every box sold we're donating £28.50 to Malaria No More UK to help the fight.

We're being joined by some of our favourite spirit partners including Hendricks & Chase alongside Ash Dykes, explorer, extreme athlete and ambassador for Malaria No More UK. They'll be sharing their favourite serves and stories.

RAISE A GLASS TO ERASE MALARIA

This year we're also encouraging everyone to raise awareness of this deadly disease by raising their glass. To get involved simply share a photo of your glass, tag @fevertreemixers on Instagram or Twitter, add #ZeroMalaria and we'll donate £5 for every post to Malaria No More UK*

Malaria is one of the world's oldest and deadliest diseases - it has affected almost every country in the world throughout history and continues to kill over 400,000 people a year. In 2019, we committed £1m to Malaria No More UK over a three-year period to help accelerate an end to malaria.
